About Beau Co. Wine
Beau Co. Wine was founded in 2022 by Susan Beaudry.
A former nonprofit executive, Susan’s discerning palate and passion for cooking has set her up for success in the wine industry. She loves food, wine, and flavor and relishes the stories of vineyards and pairings. Beau Co. Wine is a wholesale wine distributor, and exclusively selects retail purchasing partners.

A Note From Susan
I am the mother of one daughter, Isabel; a recovering executive for non-profits; someone who loves wine and all its stories, from its histories to the people behind them. I am a skier, rider, reader, hiker, dog lover, and wine drinker. And most of all, I am someone who enjoys doing all of these things with the people that I love most in the world.
I’ve been described as having an unquenchable enthusiasm for food and wine. I suppose I have my mother to thank for that. My fondest memories are those made at my family’s dinner table, where lots of family and friends would gather to share in a meal my mother had lovingly and brilliantly thrown together for the often-unexpected crowd. There was always loud laughter, lots of stories being told, and great (and often cheap) bottles of wine being passed around!
My love of food and wine grew as my corporate career grew. I was very fortunate to have traveled all around the world as marketing director for Simplex, a company outside of Boston, and everywhere I went I enthusiastically sought out the best local cuisine and regionally made wines. When I would return home, I would attempt to recreate these special meals, and would invite friends over for dinner. These weekly dinner parties grew into food events! My friends would encourage me to make a business out of this hobby given my obvious passion. It wasn’t until after the arrival of my daughter, Isabel, that I did just that. I opened my restaurant in downtown Chester: Main Street Station – A Gathering Place for Friends!
Owning and operating a restaurant is a BIG job, my hat is off to those who do it well! After a few years of the most fun job I have ever had, with my daughter starting school, I knew it was time to go back to the real world where my career was waiting for me.
As a mother now, traveling was out of the question. With the skillsets I possessed, I turned my professional endeavors to the non-profit world. For the next 16 years I worked in arts management, for first the Boston Symphony Orchestra and then the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. These exciting positions were both demanding and rewarding, and I have them to thank as they truly prepared me to, once again, jump into entrepreneurship.
Once I have committed to the idea of creating Beau Co. Wine, things simply fell into place. I met the right people at the right time, and Beau Co. was born as if it were always meant to be. It’s been less than a year, and I know I have a lot of work to do. With the warm welcome and support I have received from the community, I believe I am well on my way. Thank you for that!
I still believe that the best night out is a night in with the people you love the most sharing great food and great wine. I look forward to sharing both with you!
