Sales Representative & Wine Enthusiast Wanted!
Beau Co. Wine is a wine importer and distributor in western Massachusetts, and is seeking to welcome part-time sales representatives and wine enthusiasts to our team! New team members will focus on growing accounts in restaurants and liquor stores throughout the region. We represent boutique wine-making operations from several counties around the world. We are unique in that all the wine we sell comes from mostly family owned, multi-generational, vineyards and wineries using sustainable and organic practices. We are proud of the wines we represent!
As a candidate, you must possess strong written, verbal and social skills. You should be available to work flexible hours. You MUST be a natural collaborator – working closely with Beau Co.’s owner. You are kind, energetic, hardworking, humorous, happy, honest, possess a willingness to learn, take direction, take chances, and share ideas! You must live in Massachusetts.
Beau Co. Wine Sales Representatives are goal orientated with entrepreneurial spirit, highly motivated, driven and competitive.
Your duties will include:
Manage existing and develop new accounts within territory
Develop and strengthen customer relationships
Call on a minimum of 30 new and existing accounts weekly
Provide all follow up customer service including regular communication, signage, promotional materials, tastings, problem solving
Educate customers and their staff regarding products, prices, and credit terms
Manage best use of sample inventories to promote sales – planning ahead
Manage territory and customer inventory to meet monthly sales goals
Attend and participate in sales meetings, training, and trade events
Maintain a high degree of product, competitor, and industry knowledge
Monitor customers account status, collect payments, submit payments to warehouse within 24 hours
Ensure shelves are stocked, product is clean and presentable, proper signage is visible
Your Skills & Requirements:
· Massachusetts Resident
· Bachelor degree in business preferred or equivalent combination of education and sales experience
· 1-3 years of successful sales experience (wine sales preferred)
· Previous work experience in the beverage industry highly preferred
· Strong work ethic
· Must have a strong attention to detail, be organized, successfully multi task, prioritize, to meet tight deadline
· Possess strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills
· Must own reliable transportation, and have a clean driving record
· Must be able to travel daily to manage territory
